What is DevTidy?
DevTidy is a free collection of online tools built for developers, designers, and anyone who works with the web. From formatting JSON to decoding JWTs, generating hashes to testing regular expressions — every tool is designed to be fast, simple, and ready to use without signing up or creating an account.
We believe that everyday developer utilities should not require installing desktop software, creating accounts, or handing over personal data. DevTidy puts the tools you need right in your browser, one click away.
Our Mission
Our mission is straightforward: make developer tools fast, private, and accessible to everyone. Whether you are debugging an API response, converting a timestamp, or checking your website's meta tags, you should be able to get it done in seconds without friction.
We focus on three core principles in everything we build:
- Speed — Tools load instantly and process your data in real time. No waiting, no server round trips for most operations.
- Privacy — Your data stays in your browser. Most tools run entirely client-side, meaning nothing you enter is ever uploaded to our servers.
- Accessibility — Every tool is free to use with no account, no paywall, and no hidden limitations.
Privacy First
Privacy is not an afterthought at DevTidy — it is a core design principle. The vast majority of our tools process data entirely within your browser using JavaScript. This means your JSON payloads, API tokens, text inputs, and files never leave your device.
For the few tools that require server-side processing (such as DNS lookups or external URL fetching), we clearly disclose this before you use them. We never store the data you pass through these tools, and we never share it with third parties.
All tools marked with the "Runs in your browser" badge process data locally. Your input is never uploaded to any server.
Open & Free
DevTidy is completely free to use. There are no hidden costs, no premium tiers, and no artificial usage limits. Every tool is available to everyone, period.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not gate features behind sign-up walls. Just visit the tool you need and start using it immediately.
We sustain the project through unobtrusive advertising and will always keep the core tool experience clean and ad-free.
